The future of integrated, digital building technology.
Efficient, smart and secure building networks. An IoT platform that integrates building technology in the IP network. Together with Cisco, Alpiq InTec is the leading authority in Europe when it comes to Digital Building.
The Digital Building represents cutting-edge IP connectivity in buildings, providing efficient, smart and secure building networks. It is an IoT platform, constructed using the Cisco Catalyst Digital Building Series Switches, which were developed specifically to fulfil the needs of digitalised buildings. This single platform combines all networks and applications in the area of modern building technology in a single IP network. This allows the standardised and secure management and control of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, audio-visual systems, lighting and other building technology systems.
In office buildings, the Digital Building improves efficiency and sustainability, offering significant energy-saving potential in every area compared to conventional methods. Room temperature and the colour and intensity of indoor lighting can be adjusted individually according to the number of employees in a particular office or meeting room, while sensors help to analyse room utilisation and occupancy rates in real time. Alpiq InTec will present the technology for the first time in Switzerland in a new Smart Room.
This is the first step in a development towards a fully digitalised building, in an approach divided into three different phases.
Combining separate building technology networks
Combine all of your networks in the area of modern building
technology in a single IP network. This approach with a converged platform
simplifies communication between the core elements of building technology,
facilitating effective and efficient solutions.
Enhancing efficiency and sustainability
The Digital Building offers significant energy-saving potential in every area compared to conventional methods. Expanding the flow of data into the ceiling can provide valuable information for the running of the building, and help users to make the right decisions.
New user experience for staff
Room temperature and the colour and intensity of indoor lighting can be adjusted individually according to the number of employees in a particular office or meeting room. With the Digital Building, manual adjustment of these factors becomes redundant. An intelligent building knows its users, and can offer the best conditions for enabling them to perform at their best.
New possibilities for analysis
Sensors help to analyse room utilisation and occupancy rates in real time, generating significant savings potential thanks to an understanding of the dynamics of building utilisation. Networked analyses provide our customers with added value for their investments, whether in an office, a store or in the health system.
Working with specialised partners to provide integrated solutions
Alpiq InTec Switzerland relies on a strong ecosystem of partners, each of whom contributes their know-how with a view to building up something big – and inwardly also complex – that is ultimately in perfect working order. As do we. We are committed to working with leading partners that make targeted investments in research and development to set the standard in their respective sectors:
- Cisco provides IT expertise as a market leader in technology
- Philips is committed to innovation in lighting and is a pioneer in LED technology
- Born Green Technologies brings large companies together to develop new business models
As a market leader in building technology, Alpiq InTec combines a wide range of products, integrates them into a single Digital Building platform and installs this platform in a variety of buildings.
